Services
My work is all about meeting you where you are. By combining various therapeutic styles, I’m able to adapt our sessions to your specific needs. My goal is to create a space where you feel seen, heard, and deeply supported.
Specialist Trauma Psychotherapy
-
I offer a safe space to land before we dive into deep bodywork, breathwork, or EMDR. Sometimes it is important that we share our story so it can be witnessed, being seen and heard is essential for healing.
It’s about helping you reclaim your sense of safety, one step at a time, so you can start living in the present moment instead of just reacting to it. The key is that this needs to be paced.
-
In our psychotherapy sessions, we’ll gently unfold your experiences and weave them into a narrative that supports lasting change. Psychoeducation is a big part of my practice, as this can help with resourcing and stabilisation before we go deeper.
-
Because my practice is fully integrated, you don’t need to look elsewhere to make sense of your journey.
This space allows us to:
Build trust and safety
Create emotional clarity
Prepare for deeper therapeutic work if needed
I am here with you throughout the process.

Conscious Connected Breathwork (CCB)
-
We are born to breathe freely, yet life’s challenges often teach us to constrict.
We unconsciously hold our breath to avoid pain, to not feel, trapping survival responses such as Fight, Flight, Freeze, or Fawn within our nervous system. Whether you are stuck in the busyness of flight or the numb, autopilot-like state of a functional freeze, these habitual survival patterns signal constant danger.
The way we breathe is the way we live, so if we are holding stress and trauma, it affects our breathing patterns, making them dysfunctional.
-
Conscious Connected Breathwork (CCB) is a dynamic, connected, circular breath practice that disrupts and helps release emotions we are holding, or integrates past experiences that show up as these survival responses.
By using a circular, diaphragmatic breath, we shift the body into a restorative parasympathetic state, allowing the mind to quieten and the body and nervous system to let go and release what it has been holding.
-
Accessing and releasing emotions that words cannot reach.
Integrate stressful, traumatic experiences.
Nervous System Regulation. Shift from high-alert stress to rest-and-digest calm.
Physical and Vital Health. Conscious Connected Breathwork improves respiratory and cardiovascular function, supports healthy digestion, boosts immune response, and promotes deeper, more restorative sleep.
-
I bridge the gap between the physical body and the subconscious/unconscious mind using three key anchors:
Breath to stir emotion
Acupressure to release stored tension and emotions
Affirmations to root your experience in a new, supportive meaning
This work helps integrate past experiences into the present, shifting how your mind and body perceive safety.

A private session is a dedicated space to go deep.
Introduction: In the first session, I explain what Conscious Connected Breathwork is, the science behind it, and why it is so effective. Understanding the link between how we breathe and the way we live.
Intention & Comfort: We’ll start with a chat about your intentions and goals. Once you’re settled on the mat with blankets and pillows, we ensure you feel fully supported and secure.
Opening: A short meditation will help you drop out of your head and into your body. This begins to signal to your nervous system that it’s safe to open up.
Active Breathing: I’ll guide you through a connected breath technique. With carefully crafted music, acupressure, affirmations, and intuitive touch, we’ll direct the breath into areas of tension and blockage to shift old emotional and physical patterns.
Release: As the breath opens and flows, your body begins to release what it no longer needs. This is where your nervous system resets and your innate healing wisdom takes over.
Integration: We close with 10–15 minutes of rest. Breathing normally. This allows the insights and shifts to settle into your system so you leave feeling clear and grounded.
Aftercare: There will be time for a debrief, and I will provide aftercare advice to support your integration. These can be powerful sessions, so I would advise giving yourself a bit of time afterwards.

EMDR
-
Trauma isn’t just a memory; it’s a physical imprint stored in the brain’s survival centre. When a distressing event remains unprocessed, it can leave us feeling stuck in loops of anxiety, flashbacks, and triggers.
Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) helps the brain process these experiences so they can move into long-term storage.
-
Through bilateral stimulation, EMDR mimics the REM phase of sleep — the brain’s natural processing state. This allows “stuck” memories to be safely integrated.
Most people describe the result as “turning the volume down” — the memory remains, but the emotional intensity softens.
-
Because EMDR is a powerful treatment, we never rush.
We begin by building a resource toolkit and creating a clear timeline, ensuring you feel stable, supported, and ready before any deeper processing begins.

Reiki & Shamanic Healing
-
Reiki is a gentle, non-invasive practice that shifts your system from "stress mode" into deep rest. By using light, hands-on or off-body touch to balance your chakras and subtle energy, I create a restorative space for your body to process and repair.
While Reiki balances energy, shamanic healing looks at the spiritual roots of your wellbeing. Drawing on my four years of study in the Andean Medicine Wheel and my work with ancient lineages in Peru and Guatemala, I facilitate a deep return to wholeness—reconnecting parts of the soul that have felt lost and releasing what no longer serves you.
-
These sessions work with energy, intention, and the body’s natural ability to restore balance.
They can be deeply calming, restorative, and at times profoundly shifting on an emotional and energetic level.
-
These energetic practices are not separate from my clinical work; they are the bridge to it. I offer 1-1 Reiki, Cacao, and Shamanic Healing as gentle yet transformative tools for restoration. By weaving these sessions into your bespoke treatment plan, we work to ground your nervous system, release stored tension, and nourish your spirit.
-
You attend wearing loose clothing. No alcohol or drugs 24 hours before and no caffeine two hours before. We have a brief chat about what is bringing you to the session, set an intention and then get you comfortable on the message table. I curate a special playlist to help you go deeper. Of course, no music if that is preferred. The actual Reiki session is 1 hour.

In Guatemala, I had the profound honour of working alongside Mayan women, following the journey of Sacred Cacao from the jungle to the ceremonial cup. This wasn’t just a study of tradition; it was a deep, personal initiation into the heart-opening power of this plant medicine.
Cacao is a gentle plant medicine that serves as a bridge to the heart. It works subtly to quiet the mind and soften emotional barriers, allowing you to drop out of your head and back into your body.
The Benefits:
Heart Opening: Gently releases emotional blockages to foster self-connection.
Nervous System Support: Provides a grounded space to process feelings without overwhelm.
Mental Clarity: Enhances mood and focus through natural, plant-based compounds.
Rooted Presence: A tool for intentional reflection and soul-level healing.

Integration and ongoing support
The work moves at a pace that feels safe and manageable, allowing real change to develop over time.
Frequently Asked Questions
To help you feel fully informed as you begin this journey, I’ve compiled the most common questions I receive about my practice and the modalities I offer.
-
In our free 30-minute consultation, we’ll explore what you’re experiencing and what you hope to achieve. Because my approach is holistic, we don’t have to choose just one path; we can integrate tools like EMDR and Breathwork as your needs naturally evolve.
-
Yes, because Conscious Connected Breathwork (CCB) involves a significant physiological shift and can be emotionally intense, it is not recommended for certain medical and psychological conditions and may require modification and medical approval.
It is standard professional practice to list these clearly so clients can make an informed decision and discuss any concerns during their discovery call.
Contraindications
While CCB is a powerful tool for healing, it acts as a strong stimulant of the nervous system and alters blood chemistry (increasing oxygen and decreasing carbon dioxide levels). For your safety, the following conditions are considered contraindications:
Physical Conditions:
Cardiovascular Issues: Including high blood pressure (uncontrolled by medication), history of heart attack, stroke, angina, or aneurysms.
Vision Issues: Specifically, Glaucoma or a detached retina, as the breathwork can temporarily alter intraocular pressure.
Seizure Disorders: Such as Epilepsy or a history of seizures.
Respiratory Issues: Severe asthma (mild/moderate asthma is often okay, but you must have your inhaler present).
Recent Surgery/Injury: Any recent major surgery or physical injury that could be aggravated by deep movement or emotional release.
Pregnancy: Usually contraindicated due to the physiological changes and potential for emotional intensity.
Psychological Conditions:
Severe Mental Health Diagnoses: Including Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder, or a history of Psychosis.
Recent Psychiatric Hospitalisation: Within the last 10 years for a major emotional crisis.
Severe PTSD: In some cases, we must ensure you are sufficiently ‘resourced’ before beginning deep breathwork to avoid re-traumatisation.
Note: If you have any of the above, it doesn't always mean you cannot do breathwork—it often means we need to adapt the session (for example, using a gentle nose-breath instead of an open-mouth breath) or obtain a go-ahead from your doctor.
-
While traditional counselling often relies on talking through problems (top-down), EMDR is a somatic, brain-based therapy (bottom-up). It allows us to process distressing memories without having to describe every detail aloud, focusing instead on the memory's physical and neurological charge.
-
Healing is not a linear process, and the number of sessions varies depending on your own history. It is important to understand that there is constancy and commitment to this work.
-
Absolutely. Many clients find that Reiki is a wonderful way to settle the system after an intense EMDR or Breathwork session. It helps integrate the emotional work on an energetic level, leaving you feeling balanced and restored.
