About Nicole

Professional Experience

I began volunteering at a local drug and alcohol service in 2006. That experience ignited a passion in me as I witnessed the human capacity for change. While this led me to complete various counselling diplomas, I found that talk therapy wasn’t enough; I knew, even then, that for meaningful change to happen, we must work with what our bodies are holding.

I have been in Private Practice for 12 years and have embarked on years of professional and personal inquiry and exploration. A highlight of mine was completing Dr Gabor Maté’s Compassionate Inquiry Training, which transformed my practice, and studying with Janina Fisher's Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Training.

I have worked in many organisations, such as the criminal justice service and the humanitarian sector, as well as at a private rehabilitation facility, The Priory. I have created bespoke retreats focusing on trauma, attachment, and toxic relationships, blending psychology with holistic healing.

I studied plant medicines in Peru and Guatemala, working with the cacao plant and learning from the Mayan women. I am also a Reiki master and am currently three years into studying the Peruvian Andean Medicine Wheel—an initiation into personal transformation, growth, and evolution.

I am a qualified Conscious Connected Breathwork Practitioner trained to identify unresolved trauma by reading breath patterns and using acupressure. I am currently deepening this practice through a two-year Rebirthing Breathwork course at the Air School of Breathwork. I regularly run cacao and breathwork groups and collaborate with other practitioners.

My Core Principles

There are a few principles that guide my work.

  • Survival Over Symptoms
Anxiety and depression are viewed not merely as symptoms to be suppressed, but as adaptive survival responses from a nervous system trying to find safety.

  • The Body’s Memory
The nervous system often stores experiences that the mind cannot process on its own, requiring a body-centred approach to true healing.

  • Integration as Healing
Lasting change occurs when the mind, body, and breath work together to release and integrate previously “stuck” survival cycles.

  • The Antidote to Shame
Compassion and a felt sense of safety are the essential foundations for dissolving shame and fostering self-understanding.

  • Honouring the Pace
Transformation is a gradual process of unfolding, not an overnight shift, requiring patience, presence and commitment.

  • Inner Wisdom
Healing is an internal act of agency. While connection provides the environment, your innate wisdom is the driver. Others can support the process, but don't look for a healer; you have the power to transform.

  • “For the first time in my life, I have been able to open up honestly about my experiences in childhood, teenage years and adult life. To talk about my fears, and my pain, without feeling judged or talked over or being shamed or misunderstood. Instead, I feel heard and supported in a way I never thought possible. She has this incredible way of putting things into words that suddenly makes sense. It just flows with compassion, confidence and sometimes humour when needed.”

  • “There’s been so many times in life that once felt confusing or overwhelming but has now become clear and manageable. Nicole brings such warmth and humanity to her work that you instantly feel you are with someone who genuinely cares, as she is so deeply relatable. There is nothing clinical or distant about her approach. She connects with you as a person first, and that authenticity makes the work feel real and meaningful.”

  • “For me, working with Nicole has been life-changing. I don’t say that lightly. She has brought a level of clarity to my life. It’s as though she has been able to step inside my mind and truly understand my heart. When I first came to her, I was a mess. I was trying but not coping, really trying to navigate the aftermath of a very painful breakup and living in a constant state of emotional fight-or-flight.”
